Why do little kids always get into scissors and cut there hair?

My little sister is 3 and she got a hold of some scissors and cut her hair all up. Why do you think little kids do this? Couriosity? Why cant they just cut paper?

Why do little kids always get into scissors and cut there hair?

its lots of fun. I did that when I was about 6 and I still remember with what great satisfaction it was done.

Why do little kids always get into scissors and cut there hair?

Yes, curiosity. But I would try putting scissors out of a little kid's reach.

If scissors are available to her, then are there other things (like household cleaning products and such) that she could get into as well??

Why do little kids always get into scissors and cut there hair?

The hair dresser does it why can't I? That's what my 4 year old said! I guess curiosity, and they can cut themselves without hurting. Kids are always scared to go the the barber shop at first because they think it will hurt but once they find out it doesn't hurt they have fun with it.

Why do little kids always get into scissors and cut there hair?

future hairstylist.... i cut my hair when i was 4 bc a taffy got stuck in it... y i didn't stop cutting it after i got the taffy out i don't know. LOL

a friend's kid once said she cut her hair bc she wanted it short and her mother wouldn't let her have it short bc she thought it wouldn't look right. after the kid had @ it with the scissors, she did end up takin her have it fixed..... she was 4 also

Why do little kids always get into scissors and cut there hair?

When I was young one day my mom was saying that school pics were coming and that she needed to get me and my sister haircuts. so I was trying to be a good daughter and help my mom out and save her some time and money. (mind you I was only about 6 or 7 and my sister was only 5 or 6) well, while my mom was in the shower, i started to cut my sisters bangs. I cut them high because I was trying to get them straight over and over again. when my mom came out, I was in trouble.

you sister is probably thinking that she wanted to see what it would look like short. or her friend that no one else can see told her to do it. why don't you ask her. stay calm and you will find out the truth. good luck.

Why do little kids always get into scissors and cut there hair?

Why on earth is your little sister having access to scissors? Toddler-proof the place before she really hurts herself.

Why do little kids always get into scissors and cut there hair?

my daughter was 2 1/2 when she cut all of her bangs off!! she looked so bad but she thought that she was beautiful. kids do crazy things. that was six mounts ago, they still haven't grown back in.

Is loreal kids shampoo safe to use on color treated hair?????

yeah its fine, but if you want the color to last longer or look better you should buy a shampoo for color treated hair

=]

good luck

Is loreal kids shampoo safe to use on color treated hair?????

all colored hair will eventually fade, especially if you dyed it red. Red fades the fastest. L'Oreal kids should be pretty safe since it doesn't sting your eyes. But i recommend shampoos and conditioners that are made specially for color treated hair. Sunsilk, Pantene, and John Frieda are good brands. Also buy a color glosser to bring shine back to damaged hair. (it happens after you color it)

What color hair would the kids have?

If the mother has blond hair, and the father has black hair?

What color hair would the kids have?

Most inheritance traits arent as cut and dry as your high school biology teacher taught you. Physical characteristics are usually decided by multiple genes. It can really go either way, or be a mixture if the two colors, etc.

What color hair would the kids have?

brown - or actually he could be a red-head because this guy i know is a red head, his mom has blond hair and his dad has black hair

What color hair would the kids have?

Nobody will be able to answer this for you, there is no way to tell, I have brown hair my hubby has black hair , and our son is a blond

What color hair would the kids have?

Black or brown the black is more doment then the blonde.

What color hair would the kids have?

I think black....

What color hair would the kids have?

blonde, black have greater chances, but there could be a recessive gene that might give another colour

What color hair would the kids have?

red or black

What color hair would the kids have?

Either black or a dark brown; that would be the most dominent. 1 outta 4 chances the child will have blonde or light brown.

There's also the chance the child's hair will turn darker if born blonde or light brown.

What color hair would the kids have?

depends on the genes of the parents. The child obviously could have blonde or black hair. In addition the child could have brown or any shade inbetween. Oh and if they have some redheads in their families red is an option. Try this website: http://www.keratin.com/as/

What color hair would the kids have?

I have dark hair, husband lighter, 3 blond kids.

What color hair would the kids have?

the boy(s) will have dark to light brown (blonde in the summer) and the girls will be blonde or redhead(auburn)

What color hair would the kids have?

There's no way of knowing. You may have a more likely chance of having one color or another, but the genes can come from way back in your geneology. My sister and her husband both have brown eyes and brown hair but their kids have light eyes. This most likely happened because my sister and her husband both have a parent that have light hair and eyes.

What color hair would the kids have?

I think pink would be good.

Actually, doesn't matter what color hair the parents have. The child can have either parent's or be a throwback to another generation. Out of my siblings, 4 out of 6 did not have either parent's hair color. My parents were both born blond, but sometime in the early 20s, my Mom's hair turned to light brown and Dad's to black. I have 2 siblings who had this weird hair color change. Two who were born blonde and stayed that way. My brother and I have the hair color of our paternal grandmother (dark brunette).

What color hair would the kids have?

good question brown maybe

How do i cut kid's hair?

Best way is with a bowl and the kitchen shears.

Take the kid to a barber.

How do i cut kid's hair?

I used to trim it straight across after a shower when the hair was still damp.

Then tie the hair back or into pony tail and it will be fine.

With a boy..same advise..trim it while the hair is damp and get some hair trimmers..they are quite easy to use once you learn to handle it... Report It

How do i cut kid's hair?

take the kid to a barber

How do i cut kid's hair?

How old is the kid? IF they are young find a barber/stylist that specializes in children. If they are older just take them to the barbershop/salon. Save yourself the headache and your child the embarassment if you mess up. And then you would have to take them anyways to fix the mess you made.

Is rebonding hair safe for kids?

i have a cousin that's almost 11 years old. she has wavy thick hair. she wants to have those straight, shiny hair just like people in tv. her mom was thinking of going to the philippines with her so they could go to a salon and rebond her hair. but im worrying that chemicals are too strong for here age :P

Is rebonding hair safe for kids?

The chemicals are definitely to strong for such young hair. The are natural procedures you can look into instead.

Is rebonding hair safe for kids?

For goodness sake, why would anyone want to ruin a young girls hair? Leave it alone for a few more years until someone develops a safer chemical to rebond her hair. The hair belongs to the young girl and not the mom and it's the girl who may end up with the problems and not the mom.

I vote not to go to the Philippines yet.

Is rebonding hair safe for kids?

i donno !

Is rebonding hair safe for kids?

It sounds like the young girl knows what she would like done, but you have to keep into account that she is a.......young girl. If she wants to do something with her hair then she should look for something not as extreme.

Is rebonding hair safe for kids?

Prevention is Better than cure itself. I think that re bonding your hair at such an early age may trigger some unneccessities. I think its best to wait til the teen years.

But then again, different people have different metabolism rate. u might want to try the risk but is her hair starts falling off, then u can start to worry.

Is rebonding hair safe for kids?

how do ya rebond ur hair?!

Is rebonding hair safe for kids?

how do you do that.

Is rebonding hair safe for kids?

I never even heard of it. But by reading other's reactions, maybe just go into a store and you'll see something for chemically straighten hair, I forgot the name.

Watch out, my husband did that and then he found out that they don't give the kids the wigs, they SELL them at a high price so that most kids can't afford these "donations".

locks of love donates long hair to make whigs. just look them up on yahoo, fill out their paper, and go to any salon. they will put your hair in a ponytail and then chop it off. then you or the salon will need to send the hair to locks of love by mail. they explain everything on the website. good luck.

Several of my friends have donated to Locks of Love. However, they have very specific requirements for the hair length. Please see here for a detailed description about cutting and sending the hair...

I'm seriously considering cutting my hair going completely bald to donate my hair to kids with cancer.?

you have to have at least 10 inches in a ponytail to cut...you don't have to go bald either. the program is called "locks of love". call hairdressers and see if they know anything about it and look it up online. i think you can just mail it to them.

I'm seriously considering cutting my hair going completely bald to donate my hair to kids with cancer.?

I'm seriously considering cutting my hair going completely bald to donate my hair to kids with cancer.?

These are the guidelines for donating hair to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that helps children who has lost their hair due to cancer treatment. Their web address is:

www.locksoflove.org

We accept 10" minimum hair length (tip to tip). We cannot accept wigs, falls, or synthetic hair.

Please bundle hair in ponytail or braid.

Hair needs to be clean, dry, placed in a plastic bag, then padded envelope.

We need hair from men and women, young and old, all colors and races.

Hair may be colored or permed, but not bleached or chemically damaged (if unsure, ask your stylist).

Hair swept off the floor is not usable.

Hair cut years ago is usable if it has been stored in a ponytail or braid.

Hair that is short, gray, or unsuitable for children will be separated from the ponytails and sold at fair market value to offset the cost of manufacturing.

You may pull curly hair straight to measure the minimum 10".

The majority of all hair donated comes from children who wish to help other children.

Layered hair may be divided into multiple ponytails for donation.

Please note: Anyone can cut your hair as long as the above guidelines are followed.

I'm seriously considering cutting my hair going completely bald to donate my hair to kids with cancer.?

That's a great idea %26amp; a great cause.Contact some hair salons %26amp; they'll be able to help you out.

I'm seriously considering cutting my hair going completely bald to donate my hair to kids with cancer.?

I think they need a minimum of 6 to 8 inches to do the wigs ,

Is your hair shoulder length ?

I'm seriously considering cutting my hair going completely bald to donate my hair to kids with cancer.?

Go for it! Sounds like a good cause. It may be the best thing for your heath to cut all your hair off and let it all grow back in. There is alot of germs and bacteria that get build up over the years that you just can't see with all that hair covering it up. Then again you might see alot more than you planned on- and it's all out there for public viewing. From a health standpoint it is a good idea. You can see if you have any unusual bumps or skin irritations. Calcium deposits. All this stuff is masked by a thick head of hair. Guys that think they are going bald in certain spots will shave their heads and let it grow back. Some shave their heads because their have receded hair lines and it looks more even with all the hair removed from the head. I suppose totally bald looks better than a big thin spot and a combover.

I'm seriously considering cutting my hair going completely bald to donate my hair to kids with cancer.?

Contact http://www.locksoflove.org/ to donate your hair. My grandaughter donated her hair a couple of years ago. It is a great organization, and most beauty shops know how to cut the hair and prepare it for donation.

Good luck

I'm seriously considering cutting my hair going completely bald to donate my hair to kids with cancer.?

Check into the authenticity of where you'd like to donate, first. Some organizations are known to actually sell the hair that has been donated.

Second, most salons will cut your hair (usually free of charge) and they will donate it "for" you... so call some salons and ask if they do this.

Third, I saw some people mentioned already, your hair must be in nice shape (not dyed or permed) and usually quite long in order to donate.

Either way, good for you for considering this, thanks for being such a stand up person. Good luck!

I'm seriously considering cutting my hair going completely bald to donate my hair to kids with cancer.?

God bless you that is the most sweetest thing ive ever heard go for it just call around local salons or like cancer centers like St Jude

I'm seriously considering cutting my hair going completely bald to donate my hair to kids with cancer.?

Please do NOT donate your hair to "Locks of Love". They are a complete scam ! Check out give.org's take on them:

http://www.give.org/reports/care2_dyn.as...

Locks of love made only 113 wigs in an entire year, they SELL the majority of the hair received (for extensions) and they do not allow for independent auditing of their financial records. Who knows where the money from selling hair really goes to, somebody's pocket perhaps ?

A lot of hair doesn't even make it Locks of Love, type in "human hair ponytail" on EBay and look at all those listings. That hair is being sold to hair fet*shists.

If you don't mind your hair ending up on Paris Hilton's back or sold to a pervert though ....... go ahead and "donate"

I'm seriously considering cutting my hair going completely bald to donate my hair to kids with cancer.?

HI, I ASKED TWO QUESTIONS ON LOCKS OF LOVE, TOO. I DID LOOK INTO THIS ORGANIZATION HEAVILY FOR MY TWO DAUGHTERS AGES 7 AND 5 TO DONATE. THE ANSWER BY "DUDE" IS CORRECT WITH WHAT HE SAID. LOOK INTO WIGS FOR KIDS INSTEAD. THEY GIVE TO KIDS WITH CANCER NOT JUST ALOPECIA. LOCKS ALSO DOESN'T LET ANYONE VIEW THEIR BOOKS AND RESELLS MOST HAIR.

DON'T LET THE HAIR BE RESOLD, CHECK OUT "WIGS FOR KIDS"

THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde ha

Yes.

Blonde hair is a recessive gene, linked to a number of chromosomes. For simplicity's sake, assume it's just linked to one pair. The fact that it's recessive means that if only one chromosome out of the pair is blonde (and the other is brown), the person will have brown hair. Each person then contributes one chromosome out of that pair to their children. So two people with brown hair whose chromosomes are Blonde-Brown could have a child with blonde hair (if they both give the Blonde gene).

Since you have naturally blonde hair, your chromosomes are Blonde-Blonde, so the child's hair color will depend entirely on your husband - that's why someone said the odds are 50%. In fact, multiple genes determine hair color, so that isn't quite correct, but you get the idea.

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

yes. 50/ 50

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

yes. I am an example of that and so is my son.

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

yes, hair color is very unpredictable.

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

It's all about genetics and dominate and recessive genes.

I have medium brown hair and my husband is blond (with a red beard) , and our son has red hair. Who would have thought?

It's always possible have a blond-haired baby.

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

YES IT IS, I HAVE BLOND HAIR AND MY KIDS FATHER'S HAIR IS DARK BROWN AND TWO CAME OUT WITH BLOND HAIR AND THE OTHER TWO CAME OUT WITH DARK BROWN HAIR.

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

People who both have brown hair can have kids who are blond.

Often the characteristics of someone have skipped a generation and can be found not in the parents, but in the grandparents and their siblings

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

you might get a dishwater blond type of hair. consult a dna expert..

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

No it depends upon dominance and recessives of genes. It may appear in the first generation or may not appear but in subsequent generation it must appear there due to Mendelian purity of gametes.

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

Sure can

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

Yes, if he carries the gene for blonde hair.

If he only has brown genes, then you will end up with brown.

Anyone who says they can tell you the odds is mistaken unless they have detailed genetic/family info about your husband.

Even if you had 5 brown haired kids with him, he could still carry the blonde gene and you wouldn't know.

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

Yes, however the dark haired individual (your husband) must have a recessive gene for blonde hair in his family. The "dark hair" gene is a dominant gene over the "blonde hair" gene. I have dark hair and brown eyes. My husband has blonde hair and blue eyes. One of our children has dark hair/brown eyes. Two of our children have blonde hair/ blue-green eyes. This happened because my paternal grandmother had blonde hair/blue eyes. Hence a recessive gene for blonde hair/ blue eyes was on my side of the family (me being the dominant gene person). Genetics is so fun isn't it? Good luck!

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

yes!

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

OK,IS THIS A BLONDE JOKE CUZ THIS IS FUNNY.....HAHAHHAHAHA

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

Well, that depends on the dominant and recessive genes.. i think a woman with natural blonde hair and a husband (with dark brown hair) CAN'T have kids with blonde hair.. cuz usually dark colors are dominant and so the children have about only 20% chance to have blonde hair

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

The way it was explained to me:

Each person possesses a pair of genes for the trait, one from the mother and one from the father. To map it out:

B=Brown (Dominant, so if the pair contains any B, it will result in brown hair.)

b=Blonde (Recessive, so the person has to receive the recessive trait from both parents for it to show up.)

So, you'd be bb -- since you have blonde hair, you received a recessive gene for blonde from both parents.

Since your husband has brown hair, he has either BB (two contributions for brown) or Bb or bB (the combinations that would be a blonde from one parent and a brown from the other).

So if your husband has BB, no blond kids. But if he has bB or Bb, AND if he happens to pass on the recessive gene, then you'd have blond children (because you can only pass on b).

Possible combos (and someone correct my math if it's wrong -- I think each possibility of his genes yields another set of possible offspring):

Assuming: You (bb) + Him (BB)

Four different combos, all resulting in brown hair.

Assuming: You (bb) + Him (bB)

Four combos, two resulting in brown, two in blond.

Assuming You (bb) + Him (Bb)

Four combos, two resulting in brown and two in blond.

So, I think if we don't know if he has any recessive blond genes, we have to account for all the possibilities (combos and possible genes in the guy), so altogether the possibility is 4 in 12, or a one-third chance. But if we know or assume he has a blond recessive gene, it becomes a 50 percent chance. There's really no such thing as being "dominant for blond" if there's a brown-haired parent in the mix -- unless you mean blond passed down from both parents equals blond hair.

These combos also tell us that it's possible for two brown-haired parents to have a blond child, but it's not possible for two blond parents (natural, of course) to have a brown-haired offspring.

Hopefully that all makes sense.

Can a woman with natural blonde hair and her husband (with dark brown hair) have kids with blonde hair?

If the woman's blonde hair genes are dominant, then the child's hair will be blonde. = : )

I need the name of a movie about a captive child whose hair was used to make paint brushes?

It was from around 1990. The kid's hair grew very quickly and his captor cut it off to make paint brushes. He was eventually rescued after a chase through paintings? Sort of trippy.... I'm almost certain I saw it on HBO. Please, this has been nagging me for months!

It's tacky but not rude.

Is it rude to have your hair in curlers if you go shopping or picking your kids up?

Well, it would be certainly embarrasing for your kids. And other peiople might think why your wearing those in public. In my opinion, just keep the curlers at home.

My personal opinion

No,it is definitely not rude by any means.lt simply is not a good look. !!!!!

Is it rude to have your hair in curlers if you go shopping or picking your kids up?

Well, you could at least tie a scarf over the curlers.

Is it rude to have your hair in curlers if you go shopping or picking your kids up?

It's kinda low rent to tell ya the truth.

Is it rude to have your hair in curlers if you go shopping or picking your kids up?

Nope. If you don't care, neither do I.

Is it rude to have your hair in curlers if you go shopping or picking your kids up?

Decades ago it was thought to be in 'bad taste' whatever that means. But with today's spikes, mohawks, punk dyes, piercings and tattoos, I'm surprised that anyone would even notice your hair in curlers lol :)

I think it's nice you throw a scarf over the roller head tho, it says something to the adult general public and it keeps stuff from getting caught in the parts alongside the rolled portions.

Is it rude to have your hair in curlers if you go shopping or picking your kids up?

No it's not....I think it would symbolize a hardworking mom!

Is it rude to have your hair in curlers if you go shopping or picking your kids up?

Not rude especially if you live in NY. We wear anything in the street, even pajamas. I wouldn't pay too much attention to others opinions about your looks. Do what makes you happy.

Is it rude to have your hair in curlers if you go shopping or picking your kids up?

I personally wouldn't do it. I think it is tacky and unattractive.

Is it rude to have your hair in curlers if you go shopping or picking your kids up?

i personnally dont think its rude especially here in the south. its kind of the norm. do you get out the car when picking your kids up from school? if so they could get a little embarrased! but whatever you do dont stop doing anything because your afraid of what people will think!

Is it rude to have your hair in curlers if you go shopping or picking your kids up?

It's not rude so much as totally "white trash". It is SO tacky! It's a very "old lady" thing to do. Don't think we don't know you've got those bad boys up under that scarf. We know and we are laughing at you behind your back.

Is it rude to have your hair in curlers if you go shopping or picking your kids up?

I don't think that it is rude.

Is it rude to have your hair in curlers if you go shopping or picking your kids up?

I would be embarassed if my wife were to do it. But then again, she would NEVER do such a thing!

Ohhh and I hate it when I go to the grocery store and see (always females) in their pj's. Complete lack of class!

Is it rude to have your hair in curlers if you go shopping or picking your kids up?

I dont think its rude, odd, but not rude

I wanna grow beard on my face but dont have a single hair on my chin?

plss suggest ne doctors or creams which can grow a lil of hair in no hair area my freind was talking about sme doctor who does it i dunno wat does he called .. plss help i look like a kid without hair and my age is 19

I wanna grow beard on my face but dont have a single hair on my chin?

OK...everyday at morning take a razor and shave the spaces in your face that you want hair to grow...you will see with time hair will grow there!!!

I wanna grow beard on my face but dont have a single hair on my chin?

shave alot

I wanna grow beard on my face but dont have a single hair on my chin?

Yes, there is hair transplant surgery, but think about it... you're lucky because a lot of guys shave their face every morning and it's a chore for them. And you're only 19, who knows what the future holds? In terms of any magical creams or pills, nope, none that work. Good luck :)

I wanna grow beard on my face but dont have a single hair on my chin?

If you ain't growing some, man, that's serious. You better pray you grow some by next week.

I wanna grow beard on my face but dont have a single hair on my chin?

You can always shave, regardless of the amount of hair on your face. The rule of thumb here is that the more you shave, the more your hair will grow. This could also be a hormone deficiency, a lack of testosterone, which you may need to get on medication for. If you are really concerned, talk to a doctor and get their medical advise.

I wanna grow beard on my face but dont have a single hair on my chin?

I would be very happy if my husband had the same problem, because every time after we kiss I have to put some ice around my lips, otherwise it's red, it's itchy and so on. Enjoy it while you can, unfortunately, it will grow. I know some men going for laser to remove those hair, believe me it's very painful.

Remember all razor commercials. Nobody wants those hair, plus if you have a lot , it looks aggressive. so no woman likes it.

D you think its mean when parents *make* their kids cut their hair?

I hear all the time about parents who like, tell their daughters to cut their hair... basically force them. Do you think thats mean?

D you think its mean when parents *make* their kids cut their hair?

well i thought so but then i liked mine and when i turned 18 i did whatever the hell i wanted...

D you think its mean when parents *make* their kids cut their hair?

I think it's really mean because if kids don't have the hair, that they want or whats in syle then they will have a low self confidence and feel bad about themselves!I think it's really mean and I'm glad my mom isint like that!

D you think its mean when parents *make* their kids cut their hair?

yes. i do think it's very mean.just because the mother doesn't like long hair themselves doesn't mean their little girls don't like long hair. i think it's laziness on the mother's part because she doesn't want to have to deal with it.like the brushing, shampoo, and styling their hair.

D you think its mean when parents *make* their kids cut their hair?

Well I don't think it is mean. I also think that there is certain age where a parent can allow the child to decide on what to do with their hair with limits.

I think at 12 I was deciding what my hair length was going to be.

Before that I think a parent should decide what to do with the hair because the parents are the ones who are taking care of it.

D you think its mean when parents *make* their kids cut their hair?

I think it depends if the child is taking care of it or not. I have had kids come in that ranged in age from 12 to 22, and they did not even want to wash their hair, forget about brushing it. They were better off to have it cut off and at least it didn't look as bad. By the way, this was not a Fantastic Sams either, we're talking Aveda salons. Ridiculous, I know.

D you think its mean when parents *make* their kids cut their hair?

Yea I do. I think parents should let kids cut there hair pretty much how ever they want. It teaches them individuality. I know I hated my mom when she made me get this haircut that was like a mullet but it was short and permed on top and then the back was long so it was like a curly mullet. So so embarrassing.

D you think its mean when parents *make* their kids cut their hair?

I think when parents "make" their daughters get their hair cut, they either don't have the talent or are too lazy or don't have time to deal with the hair. They may not like long hair for whatever reason.

Years ago, I worked at a Supercuts, and you would not believe the little girls who would arrive with matted long hair and their mother would say, just cut it off. Unfortunately, I had to soak their hair in conditioner to get the tangles out before I could "chop" the hair off.

D you think its mean when parents *make* their kids cut their hair?

I think it depends on how OLD you are talking about. If its a younger child then why is it mean to have a child's hair cut a certain way??

Certainly if they are old enough to express their desires to a particular hairstyle then why not let them within reason of course.. Our house rule is that if you want long hair you have to to maintain it . If not you get it cut.

Plain and simple and we never had any trouble .

D you think its mean when parents *make* their kids cut their hair?

Wouldn't the world be so lucky if we had HAIR POLICE for all of the flipped out parents out there that are sporting ill-advised hair arrangements? Like some of those 'I'm not old' dads who sport the ever-popular Kim Jong Il the 3rd mental ward patient buzzcut.

Then you have all those mothers with the Brady Bunch beehive from the 3rd level of 1960s Sears pre-made suburban home h*ll. I mean come on! You could store extra paint buckets in those things. But noone made you shave a couple of feet off of it!

Encourage your kids to be responsible for their decisions and to be unique instead of being the Hitler of hair fashion. Especially when you've been sporting a combover that looks like front end of dulles airport for the last 20 years!

**See Dulles Airport***

http://www.fairfaxcountyeda.org/images/d...

D you think its mean when parents *make* their kids cut their hair?

well it depends on how old they are...kids can't do their own hair. i do hair and my mom just recently asked me to cut my 10 yr old sisters hair that she had been growing out because she promised to take care of it but it was horrifying-she brushes it wrong so she has all her hair broken off anda rat's nest in the back cuz she can't reach. my 15 year old cousin can't do her own hair-which is very coarse and thick so she often gets scalp infections because well it takes longer to care for so my aunt has me cut hers and thin it out like crazy-ugh!!! its soo disgusting!

when kids are like 13 years old i think they should do what they want but then again im not a mom but since i am a hairdresser it would be to the diserection of the maturity.

D you think its mean when parents *make* their kids cut their hair?

I personally think its horrid to make someone cut there hair off, if they want it done thats fine but you shouldn't force them.

D you think its mean when parents *make* their kids cut their hair?

absolutely. i wish i couldve grown my hair out as a child, its short now, like a little past my shoulders but barely and this is the length it has always been my entire life. Because I cut it so often as a child, it never got very strong after this point and would break off..

Is it true that an excess of kids multi vitamins make you lose hair?

I Love kids multi vitamins and i have an excess everyday, will it make my hair fall out easier?

Is it true that an excess of kids multi vitamins make you lose hair?

Dont eat too many. If you have too much Iron, it will poison your body and you can die. One a day is the max for vitamins of any type.

Parents!why are parents so against their kids dyeing their hair.?

i am a teen and i found a really cool color purple(frosted plum) that i love!!! and it washes out in 10 washes garunteed! its a good brand and inuxpensive(loreal)its not realy that purple, its more dark brown with purple shine to it.my hair is already dark dark brown but parents say NO!!!PLEASE HELP!!!

Parents!why are parents so against their kids dyeing their hair.?

wow that sounds like a really cool color! I'm a mom and my daughter has worn so many different colors I can't count. She's back to her original color and colors it on special occasions. I think that parents freak out because they think it's weird and they don't want the neighbors to think that their kids are strange. Just my theory. i color my hair too. my natural color is dark brown and I color it light golden brown. I've done that since my daughter was in high school. I just got tired of the same old color. I guess I'm a little different from some of the parents. your parents shouldn't worry because it's not permanent and it washes out in ten shampoos. if you can talk them into it, I say go for it!

Parents!why are parents so against their kids dyeing their hair.?

omg im so with you i want to go blonde but my dad is like sorry i dont want you to ruin your hair but its my hair!!! do it anyway im gonna do mine on my birthday!

Parents!why are parents so against their kids dyeing their hair.?

hey hey...yeah i'm in my 20's and still my mom freaks out when i talk about high lights! ha i guess they have thier reasons but maybe start out less drastic

Parents!why are parents so against their kids dyeing their hair.?

well you could try to talk them into it. Try paying for it with your own money if your not already. Give them a good reason to let you do it. Try not to get in trouble but debate with them. Try to tell them something worse that could happen.

Parents!why are parents so against their kids dyeing their hair.?

I never understood the reason why my parents wouldn't allow me to dye my hair either. Especially if it's the wash out kind. Got no help for you on this one. If I were your mom I'd let you. It's a part of self expression.

Parents!why are parents so against their kids dyeing their hair.?

Your parents probably are proud of the way you are and u are a creation of them. Another reason it might be is they fear you rebeling???:S Try to bargin with them or ask for somethin worse then say well u'll satisfy with the non-permanent hair colour. Then there is always rebelion and just dye it anyways

Parents!why are parents so against their kids dyeing their hair.?

well i cant help u there i asked my mom if i can get maroon highlights but she always says NO cause it will hurt my hair and it will start falling and going grey so i have to dye it everytime so i said i wont let my hair get that no way in hell so my advice no but if u really want to ask them if u can use something herbal it wont harm

Parents!why are parents so against their kids dyeing their hair.?

Oh yeah i have heard of that stuff my bff uses it. it really is a good product.

Parents!why are parents so against their kids dyeing their hair.?

kids mostly do a horrible job of coloring hair. it looks steaky, and stains everything your touch. then it grows out forever and leaves a "line" of colors. SO GHETTO

Parents!why are parents so against their kids dyeing their hair.?

not all parents are against our kids getting their hair dye i have a son and when he was 10 years old i allowed him 2 get his hair done bright purple..there was alot of things i asked from him first one 2 wait in till school was out.2.make good grades a's and b's (before)3.and 2 allow my hair dresser 2 do it for him.i didnt want him doing it himself ..3.he had 2 agree 2 get it changed back 2 his regular hair color a week before school started but ever parent makes those choices and try talking 2 them about this dont take off when u start 2 hear something u dont want 2 hear dont yell we tend 2 get upsst and tune u out when that happens (or worst ground u) but i know u have heard this in till u r 18 u cant do it..my son thank goddness out grow getting this done ever summer and alot of differnt colors later. his dad was not happy about it (he is in the marine corp. and alot of that just isnt done) good luck

Parents!why are parents so against their kids dyeing their hair.?

Sorry to say but your parents brought you into this world and are responsible for you until your of legal age. When you turn 18 there isn't a thing they can do about it. You just need to chill out till then and then do what you want to do! I know that's not what you want to hear but if i did that then I wouldn't be helping you. Good Luck and Patience!

Parents!why are parents so against their kids dyeing their hair.?

This is a great question...

and important one

As a busy hair stylist and Colorist in malibu California (and the mom of 2 girls) I spent years trying to teach parents that the least harmful thing a child can do to their body is "color" their hair. It is 100% fully reversible...(you can cut it off, etc) ... and if hair color is the worst thing they ever have to worry about they should consider themselves lucky....

There is just a lot worse things than hair color.

As a teen every child has a phase they go thru where they want to express themself. . . its part of growing up.... some pierce their ears, some color their hair. some get tattoos, some do a lot worse things....

IT IS PART OF GROWING UP, and is fully reversible....

Tell them you are using "semi-permanent color" which means it shampoos out over time....

truthfully...i would highly NOT reccomend any brand that comes in a box.... not because I care about anything other than YOUR HAIR....

those box kits ruin hair...

if your hair is dark brown....just buy some manic panic in purple and put that on a 1 inch piece underneath...at least this way it won't ruin your hair....

I don't understand parents that say something as silly as that, maybe read them what I wrote if you think they might listen....I did the color of thousands of kids your age and about once a month i would come across this same problem, some i could get to understand my theory...some I couldn't . . . .

Its just an artistic expression, that's all......

Whats with all the kids dying their hair black?

Seriously! In my school, there are soo many girls dying their hair black and cutting it shoulder length with bangs.

WHY??

If its supposed to be a "trend", its not a very good one. I think people should have their own style, not follow trends.

Whats with all the kids dying their hair black?

its definetly not punk. true punk is very underground. i think its more emo/preppy. but i'd say more emo, cause preps generally, wear more colourful stuff, and emo, well darker stuff. but i heard people talking about this new thing called "scene" i have no clue what it is but i guess its a new fad. cause i saw a few questions on Y!A asking what does scene mean. and some answers talked about some new fad. but fads are just a waste of time. they're gonna die and fad in a couple months, just be yourselves people! don't follow the crowd, follow your own path!

Whats with all the kids dying their hair black?

it's an emo/scene/goth/punk trend.

Whats with all the kids dying their hair black?

same is happenin at my school but i guess its in now or they r just going emo

Whats with all the kids dying their hair black?

They're not doing it to for you, they're doing it for themselves. If they like it I say let them be. People worry a little too much about what others look like.

I need a choppy girly scene kid hair cut please..?

Does anyone know of a kids or baby hair gel that works wonders but won't damage my baby's

he's four months old with tons of hair and water doesn't cut and baby lotion looks to greasy, i just like his hair to look nice and clean on special occasions.

Does anyone know of a kids or baby hair gel that works wonders but won't damage my baby's soft hair?

Just use a gel that is light weight! If you are only using it every now and then it will be fine. I use it on my kids sometimes and their hair has never been damaged by it. If you are still worried then buy an organic product or something that is all natural. They also make gel for kids which is what I use.

Does anyone know of a kids or baby hair gel that works wonders but won't damage my baby's soft hair?

The best baby or kids hair gel on the market is Jenerations Baby Hair Gel. They also make a shampoo, lotion and soap that are fantastic. All natural. You can buy them at BabiesRUS or order directly from jenerationsbaby.com. Hope this helps! Report It

Does anyone know of a kids or baby hair gel that works wonders but won't damage my baby's soft hair?

Why not use baby shampoo? That's what it's for.

Does anyone know of a kids or baby hair gel that works wonders but won't damage my baby's soft hair?

I wouldn't put gel or anything in my newborns hair

Does anyone know of a kids or baby hair gel that works wonders but won't damage my baby's soft hair?

You can use any type of hair product, just make sure it doesn't contain alcohol, because that's the stuff that damages hair, even adult's. Chances are if you pay a little more, it won't have alcohol, but you can look on the ingredients to see.

Does anyone know of a kids or baby hair gel that works wonders but won't damage my baby's soft hair?

I JUST PUT A LITTLE BABY OIL IN MY DAUGHTER HAIR

Does anyone know of a kids or baby hair gel that works wonders but won't damage my baby's soft hair?

sexyhair's - shortsexyhair "Hard Up". It works wonders. We have been using it on my son since he was 6 months old. It even hold up through nap time!

I just got a bob hair cut with a fringe. i look like dora the explorer! any ideas would i can do abo

my hair looks like those lil kid's hair cuts! it doesnt help that i have a dora the explorer backpack, which wenever i wear it ppl start calling me dora the explorer! i want to do something with my hair so it looks "not dora-like"!

I just got a bob hair cut with a fringe. i look like dora the explorer! any ideas would i can do about it, may

make it a bit messy and edgy and wait till it grows out. Wear something sexy and sexy makeup and no one will be thinking about Dora just how much they want to bang you.

%26lt;---------- you do look like Dora!

I just got a bob hair cut with a fringe. i look like dora the explorer! any ideas would i can do about it, may

Hahaha. I'm sorry, but that's too funny.

Try combing it a different way. Maybe part it on the side, or clip your bangs back.

I just got a bob hair cut with a fringe. i look like dora the explorer! any ideas would i can do about it, may

try parting it on the side and sweeping your bangs to the side or curling it with a curling iron. Pull it back into a ponytail if it will fit.

How can i thin/straighten my hair??

my hair is like really really thick, like wool (but not really). i cant really style it, and it wont grow long, just like grows curly and everywhere but down. how can i get my hair thinner or be able to make it grow down, i want it to be like gene simmons kid his hair like mine except its down and bushy.

also is there a natural way to make my hair straighter without using that iron or w/e

How can i thin/straighten my hair??

idk if they do this for boys but they do for girls you can get your hair thinned or get some straigting shampoo conditonar or hair gel :)

How can i thin/straighten my hair??

Ask your stylist to cut it with a razor, which will thin it out. After you wash it, put in a straightening serum and blow dry it straight with a paddle brush. Then run a flat iron over it to get out any last kinks.

How can i thin/straighten my hair??

Go to your hair dresser and ask them this question. I know that you can get your hair thinned out (if you are a girl). I'm pretty sure you're a guy though... You COULD just get a really short haircut. That way it will not be noticable. You could also get your hair chemically straightened, but that is not natural. There are many shampoos that are specifically for making your hair straighter and more managable. But you should definitely ask your hair dresser the next time you go in. Good luck, hope I helped!

How can i thin/straighten my hair??

go to a hair salon and asked to get your hair thinned and layored. i got my hair thinned and its amazing so much easier to style and not big anymore.

How can i thin/straighten my hair??

For straightening hair at home, you can use a hair iron and a straightening shampoo will also help. If you wish to straighten for a longer time, you can undergo Japanese hair straightening. I found this website useful - http://hcr.in/straighten.html

How can i thin/straighten my hair??

Be Careful of using the chemical straighteners they may permanently damage your hair. Afterward you will be asking ...How can I grow my hair back?

To Black Women with NATURAL HAIR or just a TEXTURIZER... please help!?

I need to find some good products to use on my hair... it is short, probably about 3 or 4 inches (but it's curly, so it looks about an inch) and I usually get it texturized with S Curl, which works great, but I haven't in a couple of months, which means that it is about half texturized, half natural. It all kind of looks the same, though. (I plan to get it texturized, soon, so I don't need to be told that!)

I just need to find something GOOD to use on my hair both in the shower, and in styling.

I welcome answers and help from all races and genders, though... you never know when you'll meet the white guy who's a hair dresser in a black neighborhood, or a white girl who has children by a person of color, and the kid's hair is like mine... but the last times I asked this kind of questions, I got smart aleck answers from some girls of caucasian persuasion who said mean things like "just use a pick and fro it out."

BUT! I look forward to constructive help from anyone!

To Black Women with NATURAL HAIR or just a TEXTURIZER... please help!?

try motions products, i used it and its great for your hair.

To Black Women with NATURAL HAIR or just a TEXTURIZER... please help!?

Motions can dry your hair out if it it coarse. I used to use the CPR and it would work but 10 minutes later my scalp was very dry. It is for a certain type of hair texture Report It

I've used the cholesterol treatments. It makes my hair very soft and very manageable. Also, I have three boys and I keep their hair short and I like using the bottled activator for their hair. I hope it works.

Is this possible? the amazing color morphing hair !?

MY HAIR CHANGES COLORS OF ITS OWN ACCORD

is that possible my hair is two colours right now and i havent died my hair EVER when i was a kid my hair was blond when i got older black now its black and golden brown and my facial hair is RED is this possible because before i thought it was my imagination or the lighting or something but a whole bunch of people have noticed with out me having to tell them

Is this possible? the amazing color morphing hair !?

My hair has done this. I think that your hair is getting bleached out and part of it will be blond and part red. That is what happened to me.

Is this possible? the amazing color morphing hair !?

Woah.

This is somewhat true because when I was younger I had the brownest eyes, but now I have bright green eyes with a mix of grey in 'em.

Is this possible? the amazing color morphing hair !?

yea that happens alot. i was a full on red-head when i was young, and now its brown. in the summer it turns red also. thats how my dad is too

Is this possible? the amazing color morphing hair !?

this is natural it's just when you were little you had blond hair like me and then you got older and it changed it all depends on the color of your parents hair.

Is this possible? the amazing color morphing hair !?

AGE CAUSES HAIR COLOR TO CHANGE AS WELL AS EXPOSURE TO THE SUN.

Is this possible? the amazing color morphing hair !?

Oh that's not uncommon, but it sure is bizzare. My whole family was born with blond hair that lasted until their preteens, but most of them all have naturally dark dark brown hair now. I miraculously kept my blonde hair, but it's still not uncommon to have your hair change colors.

Also, my facial hair is dark brown, a hair color I've never had naturally.

Grow out my hair?

I have never let my hair grow out since i was a little kid; my hair style is basically buzz cut and maybe one inch longer, then i get it buzzed again. I am thinking of just growing it out once to see how it looks; my head shape is somewhat similar to matthew fox in lost, and a lot of people say i look like him. Based on this, do you think i would look good or bad growing my hair out?

Grow out my hair?

Good! Guys with long hair are soo hott!

Grow out my hair?

Good

Why does my hair get oily acouple hours after I straighten it?

I have long mid back wavy hair with natural curl and volume in it... I love my hair but some days I just want it straight... well why dose it get oily so fast?

when I was a kid my hair was straight... as i got older it got curlier.... if that helps... :)

Why does my hair get oily acouple hours after I straighten it?

same here

i hate when it gets oily but it only happens after like 5 days

yeah. i kind of miss my straight hair.

Why does my hair get oily acouple hours after I straighten it?

well you might be touching it too much

when it is straight!

touching your hair will cause it to get oily

from the oil on your hands!

Why does my hair get oily acouple hours after I straighten it?

do u use a lot of hair spray or straightening stuff on ur hair? That happens to me too lol. but sometimes i can find this oily stuff on the flat iron, so u might wanna wipe yours when u plan on straightening ur hair.

Why does my hair get oily acouple hours after I straighten it?

because of the hotness of the iron it makes ur natural oils come out faster and since ur hair is straight it shows the oil more than curly hair would

Why does my hair get oily acouple hours after I straighten it?

well the oil is in your scalp

so dont touch your scalp alot

and stuff

Why does my hair get oily acouple hours after I straighten it?

make sure yur havin a shower every single day or night and dont touch your hair or play with it too much or you could buy oil control shampoo:)

Why does my hair get oily acouple hours after I straighten it?

Bri is right. The oils are absorbed into the hair shaft. The heat damages the hair shaft and the oils bleed out from the damaged spots.

Why does my hair get oily acouple hours after I straighten it?

Is it oilier around your face? It could be from your face if you have oily skin and oily hair.

I have the same problem. Try to keep your hair away from your face. Bumble and Bumble also makes a product, a hair powder, that will help with the noticeable oiliness when you straighten.

http://www.bumbleandbumble.com/

My hair became curly during adolescence. Hormones definitely can change the texture of your hair.

I hope that this helps. Good luck!

Why does my hair get oily acouple hours after I straighten it?

Try not to touch your hair too much after you have straightened it. Use less products too if you can. Also the worst thing you can do is wash your hair EVERYDAY. Only wash it every second day so the natural oils have time to recover. Other wise you strip them away and your oil glands work over time trying to replace it all the time. It's happened to lots of people I know.

I was trying to loose weight a few months ago and finally reached half of my goal- which is loosing about 10-15 pounds and get my tummy toned. I already lost the weight that I wanted to so I'm not trying to loose weight now. I had a baby in May and at the same time that I was trying to loose weight my hair started falling out- I have 4 children %26amp; I never had a hair loss problem before until now- I had asked a question about hair loss before and I thought it was maybe because I had a kid %26amp; sometimes hair loss is expected- OK fine, my baby's 7 mo. now. It seems like ever since I lost weight my hair has gotten weaker- %26amp; loose handfulls at times. I'm eating the right foods so I know is not that. I feel healthier but my hair is stressed out. Any tips anyone can help me with? Maybe home remedies to make my hair stronger and so it can grow? Or perhaps maybe something thats good for hair loss? I rather much would appreaciate home remedies. I really dont want to take any prescriptions. Thanks.

How do you keep a healthy diet without your hair falling out?

Drink 10-12 glasses of water daily and have a high protein diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and dairy products. Since iron-deficiency anemia can also cause hair loss, make sure that you eat a well-balanced diet that includes a daily serving or two of iron-rich foods. Check out

Anybody knows nice and comfortable hairstyles for kids.?

i want to know some nice hairstyles for my 6 year old daughter.anybody know any sites for kids hair style.

Anybody knows nice and comfortable hairstyles for kids.?

down ponytails come on this is gold siorry no its not and i am dilliriious

Anybody knows nice and comfortable hairstyles for kids.?

the pixie! I had to get one when I was a kid, %26amp; that's what it was called! Luckily the ponytail is still in style. Your hairdresser would know for sure.

Anybody knows nice and comfortable hairstyles for kids.?

i don't know of any sites but I always have thought the lil 1940's swing bobs are SOO darn cute on lil girls

Anybody knows nice and comfortable hairstyles for kids.?

well i hate it when ppl cut little girls hair short myself..but bangs and a bob are cute and still can be worn with a headband or pulled back in a ponytail..or pig tails..

Anybody knows nice and comfortable hairstyles for kids.?

I braid my daughter's hair by starting higher up on the back of her head (as if I was going to do a high pony tail, but braid it instead). It looks almost as pretty as a french braid, is not as hard to do, keeps it off her neck in hot weather and will lie flat when she sleeps. I know from experience how comfortable it is because that's what I used to do with my own hair when it was long.

My five year old has a wedge!

Dyed Hair...?

can dyed hair have a mark on their offspring/kid's hair color. (ex: someone born with blonde hair and dyed it black or brown).

Dyed Hair...?

No it can't. It is in your genes to grow that one colour, and no matter how much you dye your hair, you still grow that colour in your roots yes? It is the same with passing it on, the child will get the colour due to genes, not dying.

Hope this helps! :)

Dyed Hair...?

no.

Dyed Hair...?

There was an experiment where a scientist cut the tails off of rats and allowed them to breed. Each successive generation had their tail removed. The offspring were born with tails and the action of the scientist had no effect upon the rats other that to reduce the quality of their lives. So, you can dye your hair, get tattooed, pierce your ears and none of it will be passed on to your offspring. If you are diseased or malnourished then that will have an effect upon your offspring.

Dyed Hair...?

Nope. The hair color of a child is totally decided by genetics. At least the original hair color is, anyway. I suppose if the child really likes the parent's hair they might dye it one day, but that is not quite the same.

Don't worry, it's an easy mistake to make. The Spartans didn't know the roles of genetics, so they had the women work out constantly in the hopes that their children would be stronger. And one of the alternate theories of evolution that was around before Darwin suggested that a species changed in ways like you described. But no, it does not work that way.

Dyed Hair...?

that is a cosmetic effect ,meaning just alter your external

appearance, not your genes or human genome

Dyed Hair...?

well the die box or a hair stylist tells you that you shouldn't dye your hair. I guess it does more than that

Dyed Hair...?

im not sure. i have dyed my hair multiple times. I don't think it does. My parents never did so ya, i dont know. Sorry man.

Dyed Hair...?

nope

Dyed Hair...?

No

Dyed Hair...?

no it can't

Most gentle hair color?

I have lightened my hair for years to a light golden blonde (the color it was when I was a kid). My hair is VERY fine and for a couple weeks after coloring, it seems a little fuller and shinier, but that wears off...Now I have a bit of white hair that doesn't want to take the color, or the color wears off on the white way before it's time to touch up...What can I use on my fine graying hair that will last and won't damage ?

Most gentle hair color?

Certain type of color, such as Matrix SoColor, have a special line for graying hair. I would recommend asking your style to use a color for grey hair. It's made differently because grey hair is normally so coarse, and difficult to penetrate with color. Plus, the color you are covering up isn't even on your basic color wheel- red, blue, yellow, orange, green and violet.

Have you tried explaining this to your stylist, and asking her what she would recommend? You may need some sort of color care shampoo and conditioning line- your hair just might not hold color well.

Most gentle hair color?

go with darker hair, it normally looks pretty good on most people, try it, it never hurts.

Most gentle hair color?

I'm a hairdresser.DON'T USE LOR'EL(sp?)!!! It will fry your hair and rarely comes out the correct color even when a professional does it.If a have someone that wants me to use that hair product on them I refuse. If they still deside they want it they go somewhere else and 9x's out of 10 they come back

and want me to fix it.

Dyeing hair black without bleach ?

When I was a kid my hair was naturally very blonde.

Now that im nearly 18, its a medium brown.

Can I dye my hair black without needing to use bleach ?

I've never used any hair products on my hair before.

Thanks for any help.

Dyeing hair black without bleach ?

you dont need bleach to dye hair black

you will need bleach to get it lighter again

Dyeing hair black without bleach ?

Five words for you! SHOE POLISH

Dyeing hair black without bleach ?

No, you do not need to bleech the hair first. Especially since you have virgin hair. But remember that it can be very hard to go light again if you decide you don't like the black.

Dyeing hair black without bleach ?

My hair was brown and i dyed it black with out bleach. its just fine. if u bleach your hair its going to dry it out bad. soo id say dont bleach it.

Dyeing hair black without bleach ?

no, you don't need to bleach it first. i dyed my hair black from a darker brown. the only thing is, is that is washes out pretty easily. make sure you get a really good brand!

Dyeing hair black without bleach ?

You can use henna

Dyeing hair black without bleach ?

Yes...regular hair bleach. I think L'Oreal sells it under their Feria brand, and you can also find it at any beauty supply store (like Sally's). Be forewarned, ANYTHING you use to lighten your hair WILL cause some damage.

Dyeing hair black without bleach ?

You don't use bleach to dye your hair black, only if you where to go from a dark color to a light blonde. If you think you need bleach you should not be dying your hair at all.

Dyeing hair black without bleach ?

Try a temporary coloring agent like one you'd use for a Halloween party that you can wash out easily. Your skin %26amp; eye color may not be correct for black. This way is easiest %26amp; cheapest to "try it on".

Again, investigate other colors in the same way. Perhaps highlighting %26amp; or low-lighting your real hair would work for you(along with a new style/cut).

There are also some semi-permanent hair colors that last thru 25 or 30 shampoos. They don't contain bleach %26amp; would give you a way of seeing if you really like the color you choose %26amp; see the reaction you get from others important to you.

Once you start using coloring agents containing bleach there's no going back to "virgin hair" %26amp; often hair quality, shine, %26amp; texture suffers in the long run.

Dyeing hair black without bleach ?

you do not need to bleach your hair to make it darker--just color it black. You would only need to bleach it if you were going 2 more more levels lighter than what you have right now.

I recently cut my hair in july an inch short and i need to straighten it, or have a good idea of another hairstyle i can use . i have medium tan skin, between creme and brown. like a medium beige. my hair is almost completely black between dark brown and black. im in highschool so i dont want to look like a little kid.

except theres a little hair on the other side too.

but its like wavy straigh ironed hair.

so it looks pretty dull

how can i fully straighten my hair or make it look better?

Will my hair thin out if i keep on straightening it?

My hair is extremely thick...it's a little wavy (especially on the underside). The only thing i put in my hair before straightening is a detangler. My hair is bleached blonde...it's been like that for a long time. I straighten my hair five times a week on school days, but over the summer i usually don't straighten it at all (when i do straighten, it's on the highest setting and i do it for about 6-10 minutes). I had extremely thin hair when i was a kid. The hair dresser told my mom it wouldn't get any thicker (luckly, it got alot thicker). I just don't want to ruin my hair to the point where it thins out alot. Can i still use my straightener like i do now without alot of damage to my hair?

Will my hair thin out if i keep on straightening it?

i understand how you feel b/c i have very thick hair too....but I think that straightening your hair so much will not cause it to thin but it will cause it to be very damaged. maybe you should experiment with different styles that dont require you to straighten your hair on a daily basis

Will my hair thin out if i keep on straightening it?

My mother has straighten her hair every day for years with a hot straightening comb and this did make her hair thiner. I also have thick hair myself and I think that is alot of hassle. You can try to perm your hair to make it thiner.

Will my hair thin out if i keep on straightening it?

your hair will not thin out ((atleast mine did not and i too have thick wavy hair)) but be careful because it will get dry!! make sure to use good conditioner and do not use a cheap straightener!! you can buy hair sprays which basically you spray on and it works with the heat to keep your hair from drying out...these are miracles!! =) hope i helped!

Will my hair thin out if i keep on straightening it?

NO IT DOES NOT WORK TO STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR IT HAPPEND TO MY SIS.YOU NEED TO GET YOUR HAIR WET AND BLOW DRY IT ON LOW THEN THIS MIGHT SOUND CRAZY BUT YOU NEED TO CURL IT AND CRIMP IT THEN BRUSH IT A LOT EVERY DAY

Will my hair thin out if i keep on straightening it?

as long as you wash it and condition it, the hair should be fine. plus thick hair is beautiful! :D

Will my hair thin out if i keep on straightening it?

Yes, it will thin out.

Will my hair thin out if i keep on straightening it?

the only way your hair will thin out is if it breaks off, which it will do if you don't put on a protectant before straightening. If you don't put something to protect your hair before you put the extreme heat on it. If you bleach your hair you are even more at risk for breakage. To keep your hair healthy and not broken use a thermal spray like CHI thermal spray before using the iron. Iron in sections and spray the hair right before straightening the section. Be sure to use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner too.

Will my hair thin out if i keep on straightening it?

your hair wont thin i have been straightining my hair for months

I have the same hair as you do. although i do notice that it doesnt get as straight though.

Will my hair thin out if i keep on straightening it?

It will eventually damage your hair..the chemicals are very harsh and I do not recommend those at all. Why do this soo much? wow! be a natural girl and let them locks flow! This summer is a good time to start. Try the John Freida products and Biolage daily leave in tonic and let it air dry for healthy hair at its finest! Heres to good hair days!! ;0)

Will my hair thin out if i keep on straightening it?

Well eventually the hair does thin from too much of the straightening... just make sure you replenish it with hydrating shampoo, cause the drying out from overheating also thins out the hair...

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

My hair has a massive amount of broken hairs and split ends from ripping through it with a brush as a kid. My hair is also oily at the roots, but i don't want to dry it out too much because its not very moisturized at the tips. Lastly, my hair is very frizz-prone. I can't air-dry my hair or else i get an afro (not a pleasent site), but my hair is very damaged from the heat of blow-drying. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!

What i do to take care of my hair already:

-wash hair with Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Frizz Control shampoo and conditioner (i just switched from damage repairing to frizz control recently)

-comb conditioner through hair with fingers/leave in for 3 min/wash out

-put Redken Guts 10 mouse in hair/comb through hair with wide-toothed comb

-blow dry

-straighten (my hair is naturally straight but my hair curls up slightly at the ends/my side-bangs always wave)

PLEASE HELP!!!

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

OK....here's what I suggest since you straighten your hair.

I'm not a big fan of Pantene products but if they are working for then stick with it but I find they tend to dry out my hair. I like Paul Mitchell Super Skinny to help smooth out damaged areas. I'm also a huge fan of FrizzEase. When applied correctly (on wet hair before anything else using a good bit of the product) it works great! It's great for straightening because it doesn't let your hair react to humidity which is why your hair waves back up after straightening. I use the orange one for heat protection and if there's a Big Lots in your area go there first to get the FrizzEase Hair Serum. Last time I went they have it for $2.50 and a pack of two for $4...this stuff sells for $7+ at walmart. I also use the finishing cream for my bangs and when I pull my hair up because it smoothes out the fly-aways and doesn't flake or get hard like hair spray. But only use a pea-sized amout or it will make your hair go flat...really flat! Also found that Sunsilk De-Frizz is working pretty good...I'm still on my first bottles of that but so far I'm satisfied...and it's much cheaper than the Super Skinny but that stuff is worth it!

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

OK. start by taking a break from all the heat! i know you said that you're hair poofs when you let it air dry, but even just a week of no heat will help. just put it up in pig tails or a pony (pigtails seem babyish, but if you them right, they can look totally stylish). then, buy a deep conditioner (neutrogena makes a great one) and do that once a week. then keep using the frizz control shampoo/conditioner but other than that, no product. just let your hair take a breather. it will begin to look and feel better in no time!

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

try leaving some of your conditioner in your hair all the time. i know it sounds strange, but try it on the ends. it will help moisturize them and protect them from heat. do not leave it on your roots if they are oily though. just give it a try and it should help. i have really frizzy curly, and it helps my frizz calm down totally!!

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

okay okay!

try:

Dove's Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

Garnier's deep conditioning treatment once or twice a week.

Victoria's Secret So Sexy Straightening Balm. it works amazingly, and has thermal protection, so even after you blow dry and straighten, your hair is silky smooth.

i use all three. and i have the same hair issues as you! but, you might want to get your ends trimmed.

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

Since you hair is damaged... you need to get it cut because you cant bring hair back to life. Since you hair is very oily drink 8 glasses of water a day, if you wash your hair every other day or more than that, try washing your hair more. Switch to dove shampoo and conditioner. When and if you do i recommed getting a bob. Its cute and in style and it would get rid of the damaged hair and all you need to do to keep it looking great is a rould(barrel) brush and a blow dryer.

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

You should get the ends of your hair cut. Just get a trim to help it look healthier. You hair sounds like it is long, so maybe you should get it cut shoulder length, if it's not there already. Another thing, don't use Pantene, it's not good for your hair. I used to use it myself, but I've found that Aussie is a whole lot better and it's not expensive.

You should also get a serum to protect the ends of your hair, it will help greatly. I would recommend Biologe, you usually find it at a salon, but it's worth the money cause it works and lasts awhile.

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

put some vegetable oil on your hair, cover it up with a shower cap, and wait for abour 45 mins. you`ll have smooth and better hair !

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

STOP! o.k. now first... go to the salon and get the dry ends cut off. It doesn't matter if it will be too short... hair grows fast, especially healthy hair. Now, this is tougher, find yourself a good old fashioned brush. Not one of those hard bristled, rounded ended things. a good soft brush. I have one that does a 1/2 spiral, but any soft bristled brush will work. Then, seriously, part your hair in half. so you have 1/2 on the right side and 1/2 on the left. Now, bush the right side for 50 strokes. if you have trouble with knots, work them out slowly with your fingers by pulling only a few strands at a time out of the knot. keep brushing by starting at the very top of the part and finishing all the way down to the end. this will bring the oils from your head down to the ends where they are dry. repeat this procedure on the left side. remember... don't pull out your hair! Keep this up for at least a week before giving up, you will see improvement. for the poof... I swear by Sunsilk hairapy antipoof (the blue bottle). make sure you put this on while your hair is still wet or it will make it look greasy.

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

1) Use head and shoulders for oily hair-this will take all the greece out of your hair but still keep it healthy looking.

2) Make sure to condition the ends of your hair very well- or get stay in conditionar.

3) Trim all the dead ends off your hair- get a good 2 inches off the bottem of your hair.

4) When blow drying your hair use a brush to calm down your frizzyness.

5) Get some smoothing hair products or use moose/hairspray to spray down your fly away hair.

6) Straighten your hair- this will keep it smooth and under control.

Hope this helps :D

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

Don't straighten your hair. Egg whites, oil massages can improve your hair. More home remedies available at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/dryhair.html

Broken, Damaged, Oily, Frizz Prone Hair! PLZZZ HELP!?!?!?!?

Stop straightening your hair, it might not look good without straightening, but straightening causes frizz. You do not have to dump straightening your hair completely. Just stop doing it for a week or less until your hair looks healthy to your desire.

I don't know if you can, but if you go to a salon buy Bio Silk, it moisturizes your hair, but it will give a oily look if you add to much.

Don't comb your hair with your fingers, I suggest a comb that has fine long bristles.

Do not blow dry your hair, at least for a while, it also causes frizz. :3

what do you mean by "all this hair cut is one layer a really short layer the top and the bottom is even." is it like shaggy? (when the length of your hair isn't equal on any part)

in Pic#1 how do they make the 'short' layers puffy and showy? i tried to do that with spray gel but it tangles up.

how do you cut your hair with a razor? is this why the tip of your hair would be like Pic#2

Just start choppin' for the haircut, not hard to do. Then put in highlights and cover with as many different shades of manic panic dye as you can find. Now to style just spray every which way with a whole can of hairspray.
